Captain Debra "Debbie" Harland is the leader of Bravo squad in the H.E.L.L.S.I.N.G. combat division. She took over after her husband, Clyde, was killed in action by being bitten by a vampire and requesting to be put down by his wife's hand before he could become a ghoul. Harland is one of the two only original members remaining on Bravo team along with Butch Brasher. Despite her horrible past, she still works for H.E.L.L.S.I.N.G; as she couldn't stand the thought of not working and couldn't see herself working anywhere else.

Weapons Edit

  • Unspecified Antifreak Machinegun

Notable Relationships Edit

  • Clyde Harland

Debra's late husband and former comrade. He was killed in action by Debra after being bitten by a vampire. In order to prevent himself from becoming a ghoul, he begged his wife to kill him, to which she tearfully obliged. The event almost ended her carrier as a soldier due to the emotional stress inflicted.

Harland seems to have had an excellent relationship with Clyde. She still visits his grave regularly with their dog, Saddie. She has his name tattooed on her right pectoral, near her collar bone.

  • Butch Brasher

Butch Brasher is the second in command of Bravo squad and one of the two remaining original members. Butch had harbored romantic feelings for Debra, but due to her feelings for Clyde, reasonably respects her lack of interest. He and Debra are still very good friends and act as mentors to the younger members of the team.

  • Suyin Chu

Captain Suyin Chu is one of the original members of Bravo squad, but was discharged from the H.E.L.L.S.I.N.G. Combat Division and reassigned to the Intelligence Division due to a horrible accident on duty, where she fell into a trap and lost her leg. Like Debra, she refuses to stop working. Debra and Suyin still talk and are excellent friends. Sometimes Debra helps Suyin when she has trouble walking while off-duty.

Trivia Edit

  • Harland has several antifreak tattoos on her neck, back, shoulders and forearms. She is the second character introduced to have them.
